Teach.Land

Fun games and learning for curious kids

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Teach.Land ("Teach.Land," "I," "me," or "my") makes free, browser based games and computer lessons for children, parents, and teachers. I built this site to be a safe place for kids, and that means keeping privacy simple and honest. This policy explains what I collect, what I do not, and how I protect children's privacy.

The Short Version
  • I do not run ads.
  • I do not use Google Analytics or any outside tracking tools.
  • I count visits with a simple tool I built myself. It saves no personal information.
  • I do not use tracking cookies.
  • I do not sell, rent, or share your information.
  • The only personal information I ever receive is what an adult chooses to send me through the contact form, or what PayPal shows me if an adult chooses to donate.

Who This Site Is For

Teach.Land is designed for children under 13, and the site is built so that kids can play and learn without giving me any personal information at all. No account, no login, no sign up, no downloads. A child can use Teach.Land without ever typing in a name, an email, or anything else about themselves.

What I Collect

The only place on Teach.Land that collects personal information is the contact form, and it is meant for adults: parents, teachers, and caregivers. If you choose to write to me through it, the form asks for your:

You only give me this information if you decide to contact me, and I use it for one thing: to read your message and reply to you. That is it.

How I Count Visits

To see how Teach.Land is used, I count visits with a simple tool I built myself. For each visit it records which page was opened, how long the page stayed open, and which website sent the visitor, if any. It also notes whether a visit came from a school network. It does not use cookies, it does not save IP addresses, and it does not record names, accounts, or anything else about who a visitor is.

I use these counts to learn which games and lessons kids use most, so I can make the site better.

What I Do Not Do

Children's Privacy and COPPA

I take the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) seriously. Teach.Land is built so that I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site requires no account and no personal details to play games or take lessons.

The contact form is intended for adults, not children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent me personal information, please reach me through the contact page and I will delete it promptly.

Donations

Teach.Land is free, and support is never required. If an adult chooses to donate, the donation is made on PayPal's website, not on Teach.Land. PayPal handles the payment, and I never see card or bank details. PayPal tells me the donor's name and email address, and I use them only to say thank you and keep my records. Children should not donate. PayPal has its own privacy policy, and once you leave Teach.Land, this policy no longer applies to that site.

Keeping Teach.Land Running

Teach.Land is run by one computer teacher. I plan to keep it running for about the next 4 years (until June 2030), when I retire from teaching. Running it costs me money and a lot of time, so I plan to close it after that unless support makes it possible to keep going. I will let everyone know here well ahead of time. If I close the site, I will delete the visit counts I keep.

Cookies

Teach.Land does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and I do not run a cookie banner because I am not setting that kind of cookie. Your browser or my web host may handle basic technical functions that are standard for any website, but none of it is used to track, profile, or advertise to you.

How I Keep Your Information

If you contact me, I keep your message and contact details only as long as I need them to respond to you and keep a record of my correspondence. I do not add you to any marketing list, because I do not run one.

Hosting and Security

Teach.Land runs on a shared web server. Like nearly all websites, my host may keep standard server logs to keep the site running and secure. These logs are not used to track you, build a profile, or advertise to you.

Changes to This Policy

If I ever change how Teach.Land handles information, for example if I begin showing ads in the future, I will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. I encourage you to check back from time to time.
