Teach.Land (“Teach.Land,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes free, browser based games and computer lessons for children, parents, and teachers. We built this site to be a safe place for kids, and that means keeping privacy simple and honest. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not, and how we protect children’s privacy.
The short version
We do not run ads. We do not use Google Analytics or any other tracking tool. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not sell, rent, or share your information. The only personal information we ever receive is what an adult chooses to send us through our contact form.
Who this site is for
Teach.Land is designed for children under 13, and the site is built so that kids can play and learn without giving us any personal information at all. No account, no login, no sign up, no downloads. A child can use Teach.Land without ever typing in a name, an email, or anything else about themselves.
What we collect
The only place on Teach.Land that collects personal information is our contact form, and it is meant for adults: parents, teachers, and caregivers. If you choose to write to us through it, the form asks for your:
- Name
- Email address
- Subject
- Message
You only give us this information if you decide to contact us, and we use it for one thing: to read your message and reply to you. That is it.
What we do not do
- We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking service.
- We do not run advertising or advertising trackers.
- We do not use cookies to track or profile visitors.
- We do not build profiles of visitors or follow anyone around the web.
- We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone.
Children’s privacy and COPPA
We take the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) seriously. Teach.Land is built so that we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site requires no account and no personal details to play games or take lessons.
Our contact form is intended for adults, not children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent us personal information, please reach us through our contact page and we will delete it promptly.
Cookies
Teach.Land does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run a cookie banner because we are not setting that kind of cookie. Your browser or our web host may handle basic technical functions that are standard for any website, but none of it is used to track, profile, or advertise to you.
Links to other sites
Teach.Land sometimes links to websites we do not own or control. This includes a small number of outside typing activities, our Facebook page, and the reference sources we cite. Some of these outside sites show their own ads and may use their own tracking. The outside typing activities are opened in a new tab and flagged as external so it is clear when you are leaving Teach.Land. Once you leave Teach.Land, this policy no longer applies, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those other sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
How we keep your information
If you contact us, we keep your message and contact details only as long as we need them to respond to you and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not add you to any marketing list, because we do not run one.
Hosting and security
Teach.Land runs on a shared web server. Like nearly all websites, our host may keep standard server logs to keep the site running and secure. These logs are not used to track you, build a profile, or advertise to you.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Teach.Land handles information, for example if we begin showing ads in the future, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
